Planning is essential. First comes business objectives - the core of any project - upon which success criteria will be established.
Then we start information architecture, creating wireframes to form the foundation of the project.
Now we move onto the look and feel, either based on existing branding, or a new brand identity.
Knowledge from the planning stage is used to create a user interface that best suits the needs of the project, and, if the budget allows, usability testing begins.
Time to draw the blinds, lock the door, and turn the design into slick backwards-compatible standards-based code.
Work will also begin on the Content Management System, and any innovative features we've created.
The completion of coding is only the beginning of the story.
Before launch usability testing is conducted to ensure an excellent user experience. This is followed by ongoing support, analysis and strategy.
